Tipp City, Ohio (TippNews DAILY) — On Wednesday, June 25, 2014 Abbott is opening a 250,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art nutrition manufacturing facility in Tipp City, Ohio. The plant will join a network of six nutritional facilities in the U.S. and Abbott’s strong employee base in Ohio, with its U.S. commercial headquarters, global R&D headquarters and manufacturing facility in Columbus. We obtained some photos as well as a tour inside of this massive and squeaky clean (literally) plant.

More about the Abbott Manufacturing Facility
The new facility will use the latest manufacturing technology to produce Ensure® nutritional products for the aging population. More than 43 million adults in the U.S. today are 65 or older, according to the U.S. Census Bureau, which projects the number of older Americans to top 90 million by 2060 — and for the first time, outnumber children under age 18.
