West Milton Rotary September 19, 2011

Vicki Blei, program host, invited Pam Sommer, owner of three local Subway and two Hot Head Burrito franchises, as our guest speaker at the September 19 West Milton Rotary Club.  Pam told the Rotarians about how she and her husband, Jason, began their ownership of the Subway franchises eight years ago in West Milton, Covington and Lewisburg.  Two years ago they bought their first Hot Head Burrito franchise in Troy and now own the one in Vandalia.  She shared her future ownership goals, biggest challenges of ownership, and answered several questions, including what a Hot Head Burrito restaurant was like since many Rotarians have not been to one.  She said it is essentially a Mexican Subway, serving burritos with a variety of options, all selected by the customer.  She mentioned that she had met Jared, the national spokesman of Subway, and that his story of a huge weight loss is real.  Pam and her husband live in Covington.
