Beagle Announces Third Frontier Funding to Assist Dayton Area Tech Start-Ups

$4 Million Approved for Region’s Entrepreneurial Signature Program

COLUMBUS – State Senator Bill Beagle (R–Tipp City) today announced Controlling Board has approved $4 million from the Ohio Third Frontier Program to Dayton-based Development Projects, Inc. (DPI) to advance the Entrepreneurial Signature Program in West Central Ohio.

“The Entrepreneurial Signature Program provides local technology entrepreneurs with the services and resources they need to succeed.” Beagle said. “Technology has always been an important driver in the Dayton region’s economy, and it is absolutely critical that we continue to support the growth of high-tech jobs and opportunities for our citizens.”

DPI, a subsidiary of the Dayton Development Coalition, will serve as the lead organization for the Entrepreneurial Signature Program in West Central Ohio. The organization will provide business services and networking opportunities in support of technology-based star-up companies throughout the region.

Senator Beagle serves on the Ohio Third Frontier Advisor Board, which advises the Third Frontier Commission on strategic planning and general management and coordination of programs associated with the Ohio Third Frontier
