Free Lunches for Community Children Starts June 13

The “5/2 Lunch Bunch” will again be serving FREE lunches June 13th-July

27th, two or three days per week to the children of the West Milton and surrounding community.  Children and their families can come for delicious, healthy lunches, Bible stories and fun activities. This year, these lunches will be served at three locations:

Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays at:

  • Hoffman UMC at 201 S. Main Street, West Milton from 11:30am- 12:30pm (in front of the high school);
  • Good Shepherd Lutheran Church  1209 S. Miami St (next to the IGA) from 11:45am-12:45pm

New this year: Mondays and Tuesdays at:

  • Potsdam Methodist Church 12 S. Main St from 11:45-12:15

A required emergency information form will be sent home from school or can be filled out the first day.  Children 5 and under must be accompanied by a parent.

The 5/2 Lunch Bunch is starting its fourth year and was so named for the five loaves and two fishes that Jesus used to feed the 5,000.  Thanks to this year’s sponsors (to date): Good Shepherd Church, Nashville UCC, Potsdam UMC, Hoffman UMC, West Milton Lions, Milton-Union Community Chest, Miami County Foundation, Thrivent, and other individuals we hope to serve more than the 1194+ meals we served last year.

If there are other churches or individuals in the community who would like more information or to help either by supplying volunteers, supplies or money call Pam at 937-698-6511 or for Good Shepherd, Judy at 937-698-5826.
