With the growing popularity of the Tippecanoe Ghost Walk in October, I thought this press release may be interesting for those that want to check out ghost investigations in other parts of Ohio. Mansfield Ohio Ghost Tours
Mansfield Ohio has been known for its famous Ohio State Penitentiary, but did you know that Mansfield is also becoming well known as one of the most haunted towns in the State of Ohio.
Many people visit the town to ride the restored carousel or take a tour of the Shawshank Redemption sites. But this year The Mansfield Convention & Visitors Bureau have started the Haunted Mansfield Tours.
The tours include the opportunity to investigate up to three haunted locations in the city of Mansfield over a long weekend.
Ellis Byrd leads the tours of many of the locations and suggests a Friday night visit to the Renaissance Theater, with maybe a Saturday stop at The Bissman Building, which is due to be featured on Bio Channel’s “My Ghost Story” on June 4th. Other locations include Malabar Farm, The Mansfield Fire Museum and of course the Prison.
Hotel stay is also available at a special low rate. There are two packages available at the Comfort Inn North (419-529-1000). One package includes a “goodie bag” which includes many items needed to do an investigation at the locations, You can also request the room only rate. Please ask for the Haunted Mansfield Package.
