Ginghamsburg Serves Tipp City Teachers

On Wednesday, May 8 employees of Ginghamsburg Church served a Hickory River lunch to staff at all five Tipp City School Buildings to recognize their heroes in the Tipp City School District. Ginghamsburg Executive Director of Business Operations Nate Gibson explained, “Twenty-Eight Ginghamsburg employees took time from work to recognize more than 250 teachers, aides, administration, cafeteria workers and custodians in the Tipp City School District for National Teacher Appreciation Week. We want to make sure these school employees know how much we appreciate their work with children. They are truly our heroes and we believe their ministry to children is the future of our community. We appreciate how they sacrificially serve students in Tipp City. As a church family, Ginghamsburg is always looking for ways to tangibly show God’s love to the community.”

Tippecanoe High School teacher Scott Snyder wrote to thank Ginghamsburg, ” I was already impressed with the gesture to provide a lunch through Hickory River but was not expecting the warm welcome, gift and smiling faces of those who also served the meal. Your efforts did not go unnoticed. Teachers were still talking today about the kindness shown from your church. One teacher commented ‘those were the nicest people I have ever met’ today at lunch.”

Ginghamsburg Church was officially annexed into Tipp City last August and wants to be a great neighbor in the Miami Valley as a strong supporter of community values. This is the first year Ginghamsburg has been part of national Teacher Appreciation Week. Gibson continued, “Ginghamsburg also hosts community events throughout the year to provide Miami Valley neighbors with free/safe community fun including Concert on the Lawn which will be Wednesday, June 19 on our Tipp City Campus front lawn, and Vacation Bible School which is June 24-27 from6-8pm. Last year more than 350 students were part of VBS. Ginghamsburg hosts six major community events throughout the year. For more information about Ginghamsburg Church and community events sponsored through the church, visit www.ginghamsburg.org.”
