Giving Back to our Community – Saturday, April 16th

April 5, 2010: America In Bloom, City of Tipp City, Tipp Monroe Community Services, and Tipp City Area United Way are excited to share with you its plans for a hands-on day of giving back to our community on Saturday, April 16!

With these tough economic times, we can all feel good about reaching out and touching the lives of our neighbors while making our community a better place to work and live.  Volunteers and are still needed.  If you are interested in volunteering please let us know.  You may either call Community Services at 669-3631 or email tmcomservices@bizwoh.rr.com or by calling Tipp City Area United Way at 669-3863 or email dcarr102498@aol.com.

We have a coordinated a drop-off for old computers, key boards, monitors, cords, cables, scanners, printers, and etc.  Anything that has to do with computers Goodwill will be collecting along with household goods on Saturday, April 16, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Tipp City Plaza, just look for the Goodwill truck parked in front of the shopping plaza.

During our Tipp Pride Day/Day of Caring, Waste Management will provide pick-up of washers, dryers, freezers, refrigerators, etc. and other Large Item Pick-up.  You will need to contact Waste Management ahead of time to arrange for pick-up at 1-866-695-3433.  Items that are not called in will not be collected.

We encourage anyone from Tipp City, Monroe or Bethel Township to get involved and enjoy a day of community spirit during our Tipp Pride Day/Day of Caring.
