Child Care Choices annual benefit auction, “Hooray for Hollywood,” will be held April 17 in the Crystal Room at Club 55 in Troy starting at 6 p.m. The festivities will feature hors d’oeuvres, dinner, a live auction with auctioneer Galen Gingrich, a silent auction, and a raffle for a one-week trip to Tobago.
Auction items will include some real Hollywood trivia including a signed script from both “Days of Our Lives” and “Glee.” There will be theme baskets, tools, gardening plants and materials, children’s items, a Wall of Wine, gift certificates, and the very competitive Silent Dessert Auction, as well as many other donated items. Entertainment will include a Star Wars presentation, games and music.

As Miami County’s resource and referral agency for child care, Child Care Choices’ goal is that every kindergartner in Miami County starts school ready to learn. Proceeds from the auction are used to promote literacy in young children and to train home child care providers and child care center teachers in ways to make programs more effective.
