Nunsense II: The Second Coming
Calling all adults to join us for an evening of amazing food, great fun and lots of laughs!! Our cast of “nuns” includes Cindy Griffin, Sally Beam, Sofia Marquez, Patti Gross and Hailey Winblad and are being led by Director Irene Crawford, Musical Director Bryon Dobbs and Stage Manager Markus Evans! These ladies and guys are all “crazy fun” as individuals, but put them together and it’s a recipe for a hilarious time you won’t want to miss!
Speaking of recipes, our own resident gourmet chef, Jane Kiser and Coldwater Café have planned a meal that will be out of this world! You definitely won’t want to miss out on this experience! This event is a fundraiser for St. John’s Youth Ministry Programs so that we can provide additional activities to help the teenagers grow in their faith at a lower cost to them! Your $25 Dinner Theatre ticket on either October 29 (Saturday) or November 4 (Friday) includes a four course dinner: Soulful Starter, Habit Forming Salad, Priestly Loin of Pork, Pious Potatoes, Sister’s Veggies, Host Toasties Rolls, and Mortally Sinful Dessert! Your ticket also includes admittance to the show, more laughs than you can count and a donation to youth ministry. Dessert Only performance dates are October 30 and November 6 (Sundays) and tickets are $15.
The show takes place six weeks after the Sisters from Hoboken have staged their first benefit. This time the grateful nuns are presenting a show to thank all the people who supported them in their freshman outing, but chaos erupts when two Franciscans come to claim Sister Mary Amnesia—who has won the Publishers Clearing House Sweepstakes—as one of their own, and the nuns learn a talent scout is in the audience to see them strut their stuff. An audience-participation bingo game is only one of the show’s many highlights. There is also a quick synopsis of the first show for everyone to have a review and catch up!!
