James E. Gross

Gross, James E. age 63 of Tipp City, Ohio died Friday June 10, 2011 at WPAFB Hospital following a brief illness. Born May 19, 1948 in Dayton, Ohio to Walter and Dorothy (Mondabaugh) Gross, Jr. A 1966 graduate of Tippecanoe High School. Jim’s career was proudly serving in the U.S. Navy from 1967 to 2004, later he served in the U.S. Air Force Reserve where he retired as a Master Sergeant. Preceded in death by his parents. Surviving are his sisters, Susan Gross, Troy; Laura Gross, Piqua; and Brenda Gross Yahle, Tipp City. Special niece Stephanie Yahle and special friend Kelley Fox Humbert, Tipp City. Also, his good buddy Pip, his dog. Funeral services 10:30 am Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at FRINGS AND BAYLIFF FUNERAL HOME, 327 West Main Street, Tipp City, Ohio 45371. Burial in Maple Hill Cemetery, Tipp City. Visitation 5 – 8 pm Tuesday at the funeral home. Jim’s family would like to give a heartfelt thank you to the hospital staff of WPAFB.
