As election season comes to a close, I want to thank the many supporters and interested citizens who have contributed their time, money and enthusiasm to our effort to bring accountable representation back to the Eighth District. Our time has come.
Thousands of donations averaging less than $50 and a dedicated, all-volunteer staff have led the way for a surging grassroots movement that has already changed the landscape of politics in this community.
All politics are local. Local problems, like the pollution at Grand Lake St. Marys, the manufacturing jobs leaving Dayton and Hamilton and dwindling resources for law enforcement, are the issues that drive us to the polls.
They taught us at West Point to march to the sound of the guns; to follow their call to the decisive point on the battlefield. The guns have been raging here for twenty years. It’s time to answer their call.
