Wright Express Reaches Out to Dayton, Ohio Small Businesses, Calls for Entries to its “10 Grand to Grow” Contest
SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine – January 11, 2009 – Wright Express Corporation [NYSE:WXS], a leading provider of payment processing and information management services to the U.S. commercial and government vehicle fleet industry, is calling for Dayton area businesses to enter its “10 Grand to Grow” contest.
As the country’s economic recession continues to be a hot topic of discussion, Wright Express acknowledges the importance of supporting local, small businesses during a time they need it the most.
To help small businesses, Wright Express is now expanding its popular “10 Grand to Grow” contest to the Dayton area. This local contest is only open to Dayton area businesses. To enter, each business must fill out a simple entry form, including a brief description of how it would use $10,000 to boost its company in the country’s current tough economic environment. Entries will be ranked by a panel of judges, including Wright Express Chairman and CEO Mike Dubyak, and two finalists will be picked. It will then be up to Dayton residents to pick the grand prize winner via a text-to-win segment that will air on Dayton’s ABC-22.
“Small businesses are vital to any local business environment, but are often hit hardest in an economic recession,” Dubyak said. “We are excited to provide this unique opportunity to Dayton’s small business community. We hope our contest will give the winners the momentum necessary to thrive.”
Think you’re eligible? If your business owns between 2-30 company-affiliated vehicles and is located in the Dayton area, then you’re already halfway to the finish line. The contest’s grand prize winner will receive $10,000 to fuel their business needs, and one runner up will receive a $2,000 MasterCard from Wright Express.
The winners will be announced live during a special presentation on ABC-22.
Entries must be submitted by February 9, 2010 at 5 p.m. Finalists will be announced February 16, 2010.
