When will we make up our snow days????

Tipp City Schools have used five calamity days. With the way legislation stands now, Tipp Schools will have to make up two days. The state Senate Education Committee on Tuesday held a hearing on a plan to increase the current allotment of three “snow days” to the old five days. If the Bill passes, Tipp Schools will not have to make up any days. Dr. Kronour and administrators have decided to “wait and see” if legislation changes. If it does not change, Dr. Kronour says, “If we do have to make up days, it will be at the end of the school year.”

Kindergarten in Tipp City Schools
Kindergarten Roundup will be Tuesday, February 15 at the school your child will be attending. Nevin Coppock Elementary times will be at 1:00 and 6:00 and Broadway Elementary will be at 1:30 and 6:00. If your child will turn five years old on or before August 1, 2011 this is a very important informational event for both future kindergarten parents and Tipp City Schools. We use this event to gather potential numbers for next year that help determine the staff needs for the 2011-2012 school year. Parents will complete various forms as well as sign up for screening in April. Parents registering a kindergarten student for next year need to attend one of these sessions and bring birth certificate, proof of residence, and any custody papers that may apply. Kindergarten will be Half Day/ Every Day for the 2011/2012 and 2012/2013 school years.
