Spring Hill Garden Center to Close its Doors

Spring Hill Garden Center will be close down their retail operations October 12th. Thanks in part to poor economic conditions compounded by weaker than expected retail sales, Spring Hill management decided to close down their retail operation and focus on its booming catalog and internet sales divisions.

A recent community outreach program launched by Spring Hill Product Manager Craig Harmer aimed to grow grassroots local support for the Garden Center operation. “This business has always been seasonal” said Harmer, “this is the not the first time that Spring Hill has had to close down the retail side”

Examples of  Harmer’s outreach included taking a strong supportive role for the Tippecanoe Farmers Market, helping the City to brand the Pride of Tipp Mum, and financially supporting the installation of the beautiful landscape planters in the downtown area.

“It was back when Foster and Gallagher came along when catalog sales started to soar in the US” shared Harmer, “the mail order business has again taken off and Spring Hill will continue to to grow in this area”

Harmer stated that he did not have a clear vision as to the re-purposing of the land or retail areas at Spring Hill but alluded to their reuse.
