Over the past few years the Catholic Church has took the brunt of what the Obama Administration has done to regulate, limit, or control policies that are counter to their beliefs. So often churches tend to turn the other cheek and forgive their oppressors. Not anymore, not up in here.
Christian Churches of all denominations are actively taking a stand against Washington DC, none more vocally than the Catholic Church.
Social media sites are lit up with active debates among Catholic’s on how to align politically based on encroachment of there religious freedoms. Even Tipp City St. John the Baptist Catholic Church is advertising its displeasure with Washington DC. As pictured, St. Johns has yard signs stating “Preserve Religious Freedom”. Pastor Fr. R Marc Sherlock even opened his May 2012 AMEN newsletter in “AMEN!” “What is a right”?
Fr. Marc is in good company. Cardinal Dolan from NYC , along with many US Bishops have been very upfront with their feelings on how Washington is at War with the Catholic Church. Many say, that the Catholic vote will decide this election. I agree based on past history.
I would like to solicit comments from the community on this subject.
