Monnin, Joy J. age 75 of Tipp City, Ohio died Friday, July 27th after a brief illness. Born September 8, 1936 in Versailles, Ohio to the late Paul and Margaret [Pepiot] Streib. Joy was a very active member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and church affiliated causes, volunteer at the Tipp City Clothesline, and was in garden club and several other clubs around Tipp City. She was an LPN. Preceded in death by her husband Edwin Monnin in 2000 and one brother James Streib. Surviving Joy are her daughter and son-in-law Becky and Ken Coleman, Centerville; and three sons Randy Monnin, Vandalia; Tom Monnin, Tipp City; and Mike Monnin, Fort Loramie. Grandchildren Kelsey, Brandon, and Josh Coleman; and Bryce Monnin. Two sisters and brother-in-laws Debbie and Mike Fritz, Tipp City; and Bert and Roger Gariety, Covington. Her brother and sister-in-law Dan and Nancy Streib, Versailles. Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:30 am Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at St John the Baptist Catholic Church, 753 S. Hyatt Street, Tipp City. Visitation will also be at the church on Tuesday 5 – 8 pm and Wednesday morning one hour prior to the mass. Burial in St. John’s Cemetery, Tipp City. Contributions may be made to St. John’s Church Memorial Fund or Hospice of Miami County in memory of Joy.
