Boondock Saints 2 – All Saints Day

Well folks, we have all seen and come to expect a sequel to come from movies that were a box office smash. But what about a movie that LOSES money at the box office? Thanks to poor distribution and terrible movie promotion, Boondock Saints (1999) shot in just 32 days barely eked into being pressed as a DVD.
And then boy did it take off as a cult classic!

Boondock Saints focused on fraternal twins who set out to rid Boston of the evil men operating there while being tracked down by an FBI agent. The twins were portrayed by irishmen Sean Patrick Flanery and Norman Reedus. The streets of Boston were never more bloody or made more safe with the McManus brothers carrying out their version of vigilante justice on local mobsters. In the film, local irish Bostonians shielded the brothers from indictment as well as from the prying eyes of the quirky FBI agent played by William Defoe. The McManus brothers with their staunch irish catholic upbringing turn viewers heads with their religious tattoos (the Holy Mother is tattooed on their neck) and brotherly humor.
