Representatives from Brukner Nature Center visited the first grade classrooms at Nevin Coppock this week to present “Animal Talk.” The students learned about wild animals from Ohio that can no longer live on their own in the wild. “Visitors” included an owl, a opossum, a salamander and a snake. Students were able to touch the salamander and snake. In addition, they learned about different habitats, body coverings and the appropriate diet of each animal.
