School News: Girls Basketball Game Rescheduled

Tippecanoe Schools reports that the mother of two Northwestern High School girls' basketball players passed away on Sunday; therefore, the school has chosen to postpone the Tipp vs. Northwestern girls basketball game scheduled for tonight, Wednesday, January 20, at home, to Monday, February 8. The junior varsity game will begin at 6:30 and the varsity will begin at 8 p.m. Our sympathy goes out to the Northwestern team and community as they mourn their loss.

Second Graders Put on a Broadway Christmas Spectacular

A New York styled show hit Tipp City on appropriately enough, Broadway, as the second graders from Broadway Elementary performed their Christmas concert. It was hard to believe that the participants were only in the second grade as their vocal and dance levels stretched way beyond their years. They moved with the same precision as the famed New York City Rockettes, even doing the chorus line for the finale.

Holiday Sounds to Beat the Band

A full house of family and friends packed Tippecanoe High School’s Center for the Performing Arts for Monday night’s Holiday Band Concert. The high school band rang in the concert at 6:30pm followed by shorter performances from the sixth, seventh and eighth grade bands at 8:00.

Schools open discussion with residents on 5 year financial plan

“The School Board is interested in building a 5 year plan in support of both school facilities and programming with help from our the community”, began John Kronour, Superintendent of Tipp City Schools stated this evening at the school funding town hall meeting called by the school in the Broadway Gymnasium.
