LAURA – Laura Christian Church announces that an exciting, long range goal has been reached. The church is now handicap accessible. Recent building renovations and installation of a full service elevator now allows everyone, including the physcially challenged, to easily enter and access all areas of the church facility.
Over the years, the community has been very supportive of the many ice cream socials and fish fry fundraisers at Laura Christian. Such support was key in helping pay for the elevator project. The public is invited to a Community Appreciation Open House at the church on Sunday, Nov. 13 from 2-4 p.m. Everyone can check out the elevator and other building improvements, as well as enjoy free refreshments – including, of course, homemade ice cream.
