Dayton Air Show Discount Tickets Now Available

Dayton, Ohio – Officials at the Vectren Dayton Air Show Presented by Kroger announced today that discounted general admission tickets go on sale at all area Kroger stores, the exclusive advance ticket outlet for the Vectren Dayton Air Show.

Patrons will enjoy a $3 savings for adult, senior citizen and child tickets purchased at Kroger.  This means that advance adult tickets are available for $17 while senior citizen and child advance tickets are $12 at Kroger.

Today Air Show representatives also confirmed three exiting new attractions that will provide more entertainment on the ground along with the spectacular aerial displays.  Taking place on July 23rd and 24 that the Dayton International Airport, the 2011 Vectren Dayton Air Show is only weeks away from bringing southwest Ohio a world-class experience.

NASA Glenn has confirmed that their Journey to Tomorrow exhibit will be appearing at the Vectren Dayton Air Show in July.  The 53-foot long trailer is packed with eight computer kiosks that provide interactive NASA-developed programming.  Additional work stations including such items as a planetary gravity demonstrator will provide families with both an educational as well as an entertaining experience.  Last month, Air Show officials announced that the Super Guppy, a one-of-a-kind NASA transport aircraft, will appear at the Show as a static display.

The United States Air Force has also committed Command Center Alpha, a first-of-its-kind augmented reality experience that immerses visitors in the “Sci-Fi” world of the Air Force.  The futuristic display allows visitors to experience some of the amazing things the Air Force does through cutting edge technology.

Lego has also approved the Vectren Dayton Air Show Presented by Kroger as one of three air show sites this summer to host its Lego Construction Experience Tour.  The multi-tent exhibit will provide spectators of all ages the opportunity to build creations from the ever-popular Lego blocks.

The U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds will have top billing at the Vectren Dayton Air Show along with first time appearances by the Red Bull Helicopter flown by Chuck Aaron along with an industry first, an all-women wing walking routine called Tombstone Riders.  Rounding out the line-up will be crowd favorite, Tora Tora Tora, an eight-plane emotional reenactment of the bombing of Pearl Harbor complete with pyrotechnics; the all-American US Army Golden Knight Parachute Team; air show legendary pilot Sean D. Tucker; School Time the jet-powered school bus and single-ship military jet fighter demonstrations.
