New Police Officer Sworn in at City Council Session 5.10.11

The West Milton Council met in regular session May 10, 2011. One of the first items on the agenda was to administer the oath of office to West Milton’s newest policeman, Officer Michael Morgan. Officer Morgan is 28 and married with two children. He is a 2000 graduate of Piqua High School, and a 2008 graduate of Edison State Community College’s Basic Police Academy. He has served as an auxiliary officer for the Covington Police Department since December 2009.

 

Council heard the second and final reading of Ordinance CM-11-06 and it passed unanimously. The purpose of the ordinance was to enact special purpose flood damage reduction for the Village. Council voted to table Ordinance CM-11-08 in order to discuss it at the May 24 work session. The ordinance was to re-zone a property along S. Miami Street.
