NEW PRESCHOOL OPENING IN THE FALL, OPENINGS STILL AVAILABLE

Council on Rural Services and Milton Union Schools are partnering to open a new Kids Learning Place preschool classroom that will be located in the Milton Union Elementary School. The preschool is scheduled to open in the fall of 2011 and there are still openings available.

 

This Head Start option is a federally funded comprehensive program for children between three to five years old; for families that meet federal income guidelines. The program also provides services to children of families that are homeless and children with disabilities are considered without income restrictions.

 

Our Kids Learning Place classroom in West Milton will offer children a safe and nurturing learning opportunity in a classroom that provides positive education experiences that include:

 

  • part day sessions; four days per week in AM or PM classes
  • teachers with degrees in the classroom
  • a research-based curriculum developed to build early learning skills that boost development in the children
  • developmental testing throughout the year with online access for parents
  • site will be licensed by the Ohio Department of Education
  • accepting children with special needs
  • bus transportation in most areas
  • values and encourages parent participation
  • nutritious breakfast, lunch and snacks included
  • program will begin the process to earn the “Step Up to Quality” award that recognizes programs that exceed licensing standards
