Tipp City was proudly represented by their 8U, 10U and 12U All Star Teams in the 7th annual Ponytail Softball Tournament, hosted by the Milton-Union Rec Association (MURA) which ended Sunday afternoon at the Lowry Complex. A total of 33 teams from as far away as Indianapolis played in the three-day, 63-game event, bringing nearly 400 girls, plus their coaches and familes to West Milton.
Teams were seeded after two pool play games with Carlisle (8U), New Palestine Youth League (10U) and Lima Shawnee (12U) earning the tops seeds.
Championship trophies were awarded to Tippecanoe Force for the 12U fastpitch division, New Palestine for the 10U fastpitch division and Carlisle for the 8U coach-pitch division.
Rain threatened the tournament for at least the third straight year with rain Friday morning and heavy showers Friday evening, but hardworking field crews kept the tournament fields playable through the conclusion late Sunday afternoon.
Best of luck to all the teams who will play again next weekend in the Elizabeth Spano Memorial Tournament in Tipp City (July 15-18th).
