Bring on the Bands
On Saturday June 12th from 4-8PM Tipp City will be welcoming two Cincinnati bands to town to perform at the Inaugural Canal Music Fest, held at Canal Lock Park, on the East side of Downtown Tipp City’s Main Street (SR 571). The park is located just East of First Street. Along with the great live music, the Tipp City Arts Council (sponsors for the event) plan to have food and refreshments provided by the 2008 Blue Ribbon State Champions in BBQ, Tipp City’s own Hickory River. Promoters for the event state that the party will go on rain or shine that evening.
About Voodoo Puppet
Voodoo Puppet, the Cincinnati-based blues-rock band, plays danceable blues, roadhouse hits, blues-inspired classic rock, and Cajun favorites. Their road-tested song list is packed with popular, upbeat tunes designed to get a wide variety of crowds up and dancing and keep them entertained all night. And their New Orleans/Cajun flavor transports one to a back porch on the bayou or seedy juke joint in the Big Easy, for a truly unique experience.
Their music is a unique blend of classic blues and gritty blues-rock, in the spirit of classic 60s and early 70s bands’ approach to the genre. Though they play Chicago-style, Delta, and other forms of blues, their music still centers on raw energy and a loose, improvisational style.
Currently touring the Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana regions, the band also appears regularly in the Greater Cincinnati area. The band is available for booking at private functions, live music venues, street festivals, and live in-studio radio performances. Voodoo Puppet performs for large and small venues, as a solo act or as part of a multi-act bill.

Formed in 1996, Leadfoot Johnny is a Cincinnati area Dance Rock’n’Soul band focusing on both old and new, cover and original music. Comprised of lead singer Tim Tiernan, bassist John Toedtman, guitarist Greg Thomas, drummer Randy Brock, and saxophonist Joe Auger, Leadfoot Johnny strives to play music to put the crowds they perform for in a party mood.
