Dr. Mason featured in Hometown Heroes section of Dayton Daily News

Our own Dr. Mason, Pediatric Dentist at HealthPark Dentistry, was featured in Thursday’s Dayton Daily News Hometown Heroes article. With a great photo of Dr. Mason smiling in front of military airplanes, he shares his career path.

Dr. Mason provides the following dental care for children:
No Decay Club for kids who have no cavities at their checkup – kids get to choose a prize from the treasure box & sign their name on our No Decay Club wall
Using new products and techniques to help keep children healthy – fluoride varnish and prescription fluoride toothpaste plus coaching on diet and brushing/flossing helps families to avoid any treatment whatsoever
Dental sealants – to protect back teeth with deep grooves that often catch food and develop decay
Teeth-related accidents – If your child falls on their bicycle or off the swingset and hurts their teeth – call us right away and Dr. Mason will take care of your child
Helping children through tough appointments – when dental treatment for kids is necessary, Dr. Mason is brilliant at distraction and sometimes the kids don’t even realize the treatment is over!
Laughing gas – To help children relax at their dental visits – plus it’s free!
Help for children to stop thumb sucking – Ask about our David Decides book
Supporting children with disabilities – Dr. Mason’s specialist training allows him to complete care on children with challenges
Oral sedation – one step beyond laughing gas, Dr. Mason offers ‘sleepy juice’ for children with significant treatment needs to relax them so they can be healthy
IV sedation – to repair the damage of baby bottle tooth decay or for children who cannot relax with laughing gas or sleepy juice – the IV sedation has an amnesia quality so kids often don’t remember any of the treatment itself. This makes a huge difference when it’s time for the child to return to the dentist for a checkup – since they don’t remember a difficult past experience, they’re more cooperative to come back! Plus, if they’re healthy at their checkup – it’s all about the No Decay Club!
For medically compromised children, Dr. Mason completes treatment at Children’s Hospital to make sure they are in a safe environment
Early orthodontic care – Starting as early as age 7, Dr. Mason provides expander appliances to make room for permanent teeth and reduce the need for full braces later.

Dr. Mason is welcoming new patients at his Adventure Pediatrics practice at HealthPark Dentistry, so if you’re looking for Tipp City OH Pediatric Dentistry or Troy OH Pediatric Dentistry or Piqua OH Pediatric Dentistry, please contact us to schedule your first visit!
