Tax season is here, and Tipp City Public Library is your one stop place for forms and filing assistance.
Each year, from February through mid-April, the library hosts twice weekly sessions with trained volunteers from the AARP Tax-Aide program. This assistance is available on Wednesdays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Mondays from 4 to 8 p.m. On Wednesdays, walk-ins receive help on a first come, first serve basis. On Mondays, tax filing assistance is available by appointment only by calling 845-3014.
The service is offered to low or middle income and senior citizen households. The first session is set for Monday, Feb. 02, from 4 to 8 p.m.
The library can also help taxpayers who are looking for forms and publications. A display table near the front doors is loaded with most of the forms you will need. Also, the library website has a link to connect you to the Internal Revenue Service. There, you can locate and print other, more specialized forms. Find the library online at http://www.tippcitylibrary.org, or find the IRS website at http://www.irs.gov. While visiting the library, just ask a staff member for help if you can’t find what you need.
HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR

Registration is required for both of these programs.
