Dorothy H. Davis

Davis, Dorothy H. born December 11, 1922 in Springfield, IL passed away Tuesday July 5, 2011 with Acclaim Hospice at her side at the Caldwell House Assisted Living in Troy, Ohio. She is survived by her son, Jeffrey L. Davis and wife, Bernadine of Tipp City, Granddaughter, Jennifer L. Davis of Troy and Grandson Robert Hutchison-Davis of Tipp City, Her brother William M. Hedrick and wife Judy of Missouri and numerous nieces and nephews in Illinois and Missouri. She is preceded in death by her husband, Franklin L. Davis, Parents, William M and Mildred Hedrick and sister, Norma Babiak. Dorothy was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Tipp City, a fifty plus year member of her sorority Beta Sigma Phi, officer of Tipp city historical Society and past Treasurer of Tipp Women’s Civic League, as well as a participant of Ohio Association of School Business Officials during her career as treasurer of Tipp city Exempted Village School District and then to Northridge Local School District from which she retired. Dottie enjoyed movies, theatre, music, art, traveling, golf and spending time with her friends. She participated as much as she could in each of them as long as she was able. A service will be held for family and close friends at the Zion Lutheran Church located at 11 W. Main St. Tipp City, Ohio at Noon on Saturday July 9, 2011. Visitation from 11:00 AM until time of service at the church. Her family would like to express their thanks to Acclaim Hospice of Dayton’s staff and nurses.
