Dayton, OH (January, 2011): Battelle Capital Advisors, an affiliate of Battelle & Battelle LLP, has further strengthened its position in the merger & acquisition and corporate financing arena with the addition of Gregory S. Barney as Senior Vice President.
For the past 15 years, Mr. Barney founded and served as President of Newmark Homes, Inc., a residential development and building firm serving Northern Miami Valley communities. Prior to that, he was a Tax Manager for eight years in the Dayton office of Ernst & Young working with corporate and real estate clients. “Greg’s experience in operating a privately owned business
combined with his big four tax accounting experience will serve him well in assisting business owners in complex financial transactions,” says Jim Sachs, President of Battelle Capital Advisors.
Since its formation in 2003, Battelle Capital Advisors has facilitated over 40 merger/acquisition and financing transactions, accounting for over $100 million in transaction value. Greg is a graduate of the University of Dayton and is a member of The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and The Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants. Greg is very active in the Boy Scouts of America serving as an advisor and chair of three troop level committees.
