Dayton Gems December in Review

The Dayton Gems are the youngest team in the International Hockey League along with being the newest franchise. Despite a record in December of just under 500, the team is looking forward to an upswing as they head for the 2nd half of the season. With only one more back to back road trip for the rest of the season, Coach Marks is optimistic as the Gems start this very important climb up the ladder and into the hunt.

Rittenhouse Bowls a Perfect Game

While most young men his age are killing time in front of television and video games, Ryan Rittenhouse is practicing to be the world’s next Professional Bowler.

Lightning Strikes Again

The FC Tippecanoe Lightning U10 Girls recently wrapped-up an incredibly successful season. The girls completed the campaign with an overall record of 17 wins and only 3 losses. The team accomplishments were: Champions of the Springfield of Dreams Charity Cup / Finalists at the Ohio Premier Invitational / Finalists of the Celtic Haunted Classic Tournament / Second Place in the Premier Division of Miami Valley Youth Soccer Association. The girls outscored their opponents by a combined scores of 65-13. The Lightning recorded a phenomenal 12 shutouts in the 20 games in which they competed. The Lighting are the only team in their age bracket to finish as champions or second place finishers in the Premier Division of MVYSA in every season in which they have competed.

Tippecanoe Wrestling Report 12.10.09

The Tippecanoe Middle School wrestling team traveled to West Milton on December 4th & 5th to compete in the Jr. Bulldog Wrestling Tournament. The team came away with Tippecanoe’s first ever team title totaling 175 ½ points. I started coaching at Tippecanoe in the middle school seven years ago.

Red Devil Basketball – Chicken Dinner

The Red Devil Boys Basketball program is having its annual "Chicken Dinner". The dinner is Saturday, December 19th, at the Red Devils vs Troy game. Tickets are availaible from any member of the basketball program or e-mail dlpittenger@tippcity.k12.oh.us. Tickets are $7.oo, for half a chicken, mash potatos, corn, roll and cookie. Help support the basketball program.

Tippecanoe Red Devils vs. St. Francis DeSales

Tipp City (9-2) certainly had their work cut out for them against the extremely talented (8-3) St. Francis Desales team. With three highly recruited seniors; quarterback Nick Gentile (#14), fullback Robert Perrine (#25) and tailback Adam Griffin (#24) the DeSales Stallions challenged the Tippecanoe Red Devils early.. and often.

DeSales to play Tipp in regional semi-finals

With the Red Devil win Friday night, their first playoff victory in ages, Tippecanoe's varsity football team advances to the regional semifinals on Friday against a tough DeSales team.

Tippecanoe Canal Jumpers 2010 Schedule

Our captain, Swifty and I attended a scheduling meeting with the Ohio vintage base ball clubs today. It’s great to see the enthusiasm from the other clubs throughout our state. The Clodbusters did a wonderful job coordinating the meeting.
