Phil Nagle thought combining his passion for cycling with a fundraiser for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society was a good idea. 48 States and over 8,000 miles later so did the Guinness Book of World Records. Phil is cycling across the finish line at 6pm on Monday September 14th, 2009 in his hometown of Tipp City, Ohio and is closing in on his quest to raise $48,000 for cancer research

Tipp City Welcomes Phil Nagle Home!

Phil Nagle will be returning from his bicycle trek through all 48 states in the continental U.S. this Monday, September 14th 2009 to the CVS parking lot in Tipp City, Ohio Phil's courageous journey has consisted of of nearly 8,000 miles of riding in various climate and traffic conditions while facing frequent elevation changes. He races in honor and remembrance of his late uncle who died from acute Leukemia (cancer). Phil also hopes to raise $48,000 in funds from this ride that support research for a cure. He will be returning to our home town of Tipp City, Ohio tomorrow, Monday September 14th at 6PM in the CVS parking lot.

West Milton bows to Tippecanoe 21-7

This writer was very impressed with the preparations made by West Milton for our team's arrival on Friday night. Welcoming us into town were downtown vendors selling "Beat Tipp" T-shirts. Tippecanoe decided to go with the ever-popular "black out" theme. And oh-boy was Saturday night a night for fighting for the Tippecanoe Red Devils! OSCAA made a decision this year to revive the local competition with an out of conference game for the Red Devis with West Milton.

Designers Fashion Outlet Cuts Ribbon

Steve and Susan Berger, both Tippecanoe alumni, opened their doors on Friday afternoon to city officials and members of the Tipp City Area Chamber of Commerce. Not just to share hors d'oeuvres and refreshments with them but to also cut a red ribbon to celebrate the opening of Designers Fashion Outlet located at 259 N. Fourth Street in Downtown Tipp City’s legacy district.

Buckeye Distillery looks like a go

The introduction of a small vodka distillery in Downtown Tipp City has met one last hurtle this evening.. The Tipp City Planning Board voted 5.0 unanimously in favor of the distillery to be introduced into the vacant downtown Plum Street location owned by Larry Reisser. The property,zoned I1D, was determined as an appropriate use of the facility for both the Buckeye Distillery and Serv-Pro, two businesses owned and operated by Aaron Lee.

Three Tipp City municipal workers are out working on a manhole cover in the 300 block of South Third Street. They have a jack-hammer operator, a bucket mover, and a blacktop scraper guy.

Bringing the Arts to Tipp City

On October 22nd, Harrison’s & TCAAC will be having a fund raiser for the arts council. Harrison’s will be donating a portion of the dinner proceeds to the arts council. The ARTStravaganza will be a showcase of entertainment from music to magic. Harrison’s has also offered to give up their wall space for the evening & allow artists to display their artwork. Entertainment will run from 5 PM to 8 PM. Harrison’s and TCAAC invite you to come out, enjoy a nice dinner and support the arts in Tipp City.
